January 22, 2008
Morrisville Town Hall Board Room, 6:30 p.m.
One of the first streets in town, Church Street remains a focal point for community-building. NCDOT railroad and N.C. Turnpike Authority staff were on-hand to help explain some of the changes that are happening in the transportation arena around Church Street and 540. Our transportation speakers opened by discussing the Land Use and Transportation Plans Update Project, as well as proposed changes in the street and rail transportation systems. Participants had an opportunity to voice their opinions, concerns, and desires afterwards.
The Church Street focus group meeting brought out a lot of vocal residents, with about 50 people participating. In addition to the speakers, several elected officials of the Town of Morrisville were present to listen to community concerns.
